Now-ember

Wake me up when September... oh wait, even October has ended! Wow... time really flies. Two months to 2015! Imagine that.

I have spent the better part of 2014 drowning in work. Most of it, in just one project. ONE massive project culminating in December. When I look back at this year, I feel so many emotions. Love. Hatred. Frustration. Dejection. Pride. Happiness. Sadness. Depression. At so many different levels. But I also feel blessed in many ways. Some power above me has looked after me in moments of despair and need. Things clicked when they weren't supposed to. And of course, I am truly grateful for my family and friends who made my life a little easier.

While I continue being busy over the next seven weeks, I do have a few interesting non-work things to look forward to. For starters, Dilip D'Souza - amazing writer and a friend - releases his latest book, 'Final Test: Exit Sachin Tendulkar' this weekend. I hope to make it to the event. In any case, don't forget to check out the book.

Second, my latest purchase - the Canon PowerShot S200. Yes, it's a point-and-shoot. But I'm excited. I think, lately, I've lost my photography mojo. So after getting suitably tempted by DeeSee and Stu who have the same camera, it happened. All it took was a weak stressful moment to fish my credit card out and pay for this. Thankfully, it was bought at 40% the price. Phew.

Later in December, I'll be attending the weddings of three close cousins. Three in the space of 10 days. And it involves two trips to my native place for the first and third weddings. Expected to be tiring and fun.

But what I'm most excited about is a holiday scheduled for January 2015. I just booked my tickets. And now have to get my visa, plan an itinerary, sound off people I need to meet while I'm there, read up on what all I should be doing/eating/seeing/experiencing and think of ways to save money for it all. Details coming soon.

Can't wait to take off! I think I've earned it. :)

Happy November, folks.
